How the VA Rates Allergic Rhinitis

Simple two-tier code: polyps = 30%, significant obstruction = 10%. Its real value is as a gateway condition — rhinitis is commonly linked to burn-pit exposure under the PACT Act and serves as a secondary basis for sleep apnea claims.

Evidence That Wins This Claim

  • Ask your ENT to document obstruction percentage per nostril.
  • Burn-pit exposure? Rhinitis and sinusitis are PACT Act presumptives.
